Haddenham Streetscapes Public Consultation

Public consultation on Haddenham Parish Council’s Streetscapes project will take place on Thursday 28th April 2022 1-8pm in the conference room at Haddenham Village Hall.

Villagers are invited to attend and find out more about initial ideas and options, as well as provide feedback on what they like, don’t like or think could be improved when it comes to connectivity and access within Haddenham.

What is Streetscapes?

The Streetscapes project is a village-wide review of options to create a better balance of pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles within Haddenham.

Haddenham Parish Council, with funding support from Buckinghamshire Council, has appointed placemaking consultants PJA to look into options to transform key areas in the village to improve access and movement.

The study builds on the work undertaken as part of the Haddenham Neighbourhood Plan and seeks to address the following issues affecting the village:

• Creating a less vehicle-dominated environment
• Managing current traffic issues and the likely impact of future growth
• Vehicle speeding
• Prioritising walking & cycling
• Parking problems

As part of the development process, PJA have worked alongside the Parish Council and members of the public to utilise Buckinghamshire Council's bucks.place survey to record “things people like, key issues, and ideas”.

The data from the survey has been summarised on three plans produced by PJA below:
