Community Orchard Call for Volunteers and Committee Members
Can you spare a couple of hours a month?
Additional members are needed to join a group of friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to oversee the maintenance of the Orchard, including planting and upkeep. Two more committee members are needed to help plan the development and management of this wonderful amenity and the committee are also particularly keen to recruit someone with IT skills to develop the website.
If you enjoy being outdoors, meeting new people and are willing to get stuck in then contact Diccon Proctor to find out more: email: communityorchard.haddenham@gmail.com, phone: 07799-686080.
Duke of Edinburgh students are also welcome to volunteer and gain environmental and conservation experience.
Townsend Community Orchard was established in 2015 when a variety of fruit trees and soft fruit bushes were planted. The Orchard provides a wonderful space for villagers and nature alike, with residents welcome to pick some of the fruit for free. It also features a small seating area for outdoor gatherings where events such as plays and music performances take place.
