Resignation of David Lyons

Published: 23 October 2020

We are sad to report that David Lyons has decided to step down from his role as Parish Councillor due to the pressures of work and family commitments. David has been a Parish Councillor since May 2011 and, as a member of the Environment Committee, was instrumental in the establishment of Townsend Community Orchard and in pushing forward environmental issues including the declaration of a Climate Emergency. We will miss David's enthusiasm and passionate contributions to the work of the Council and wish him well in his future endeavours.

David's resignation creates a Casual Vacancy on the Parish Council. Notice of the vacancy has been given to Buckinghamshire Council. The notice and information on becoming a Parish Councillor can be found on the Elections Page of the Parish Council website, as well as an application form for anyone who is interested in applying.
