Haddenham Educational Charity Grant Applications Open

Since its establishment by deed in 1851, the Old British School in Churchway operated as an educational charity. When the sale of the school was completed in 1982 for the sum of £28,250, the charity continued to exist, with Haddenham Parish Council becoming the charity's Trustee. After it became the Trustee, Haddenham Parish Council invested the proceeds of the sale to allow for future income to be received. The income received from this investment is used today for small educational grants each year.

We are pleased to announce that this year’s applications are now open.

If you need help with the costs of educational or vocational courses in the arts, music, sports, or apprenticeships (all forms of educational and vocational training will be considered), please apply! Note, these grants are intended for those most in need of financial assistance.

The meeting of the charity will take place on 19th October 2026. We ask that applications be returned by 12th October 2026 for consideration at the meeting.
