Streetscape Survey Results and Final Report

Survey Feedback
Following the public meeting in July, a survey was launched seeking feedback on design ideas for improving movement at 8 key locations around the village.
Responses to the survey indicated that the most popular design ideas are:
- The implementation of a village-wide 20mph speed limit
- The replacement of the two mini-roundabouts at the junction of Woodways/Churchway by one large roundabout with easier crossing points
- Traffic calming measures on Thame Road
- Traffic calming measures on Stanbridge Road.
The full results of the survey can be found in the final project report.
Final Report
Our project consultants, PJA, have now put together a comprehensive
report detailing the background to the project, the evolution of the designs ideas, feedback received from the various methods of public consultation, and future recommendations. It is highly recommended that anyone interested in the project read the report in full.
Going forward, PJA will continue assisting the Parish Council to liaise with Buckinghamshire Council, as the responsible highway authority, on the feasibility of implementing a 20mph speed limit within the village, and improvements to the traffic calming on Thame Road. As Buckinghamshire Council’s policy on 20mph limits is that they should be self-enforcing, this is likely to require the implementation of other traffic calming measures put forward in the report, with prioritisation going to the most popular and cost-effective measures identified.
Further details will be shared as the project continues to develop.
