Passing of Margaret Aston

The Parish Council were deeply saddened to hear of the death of former Parish Councillor Margaret Aston.

Margaret was a member of the Parish Council for over 40 years, serving as Chair to the Council from 1993 to 2000 and again from 2007 to 2017. Margaret also served as our local Councillor on Buckinghamshire County Council from 1993 until 2017.

Amongst her many other contributions to the village, Margaret served as Chair of Governors at Haddenham Community Junior School, was a founding member of the Abbeyfield House, president of Haddenham Tennis Club and sat on the Youth & Community Centre Committee and Haddenham Village Hall Committee.

A minute’s silence was held in Margaret’s memory at the Parish Council meeting last night.
