More Trees for Haddenham

Published: 31 March 2022

Work has begun on the planting of more trees within Haddenham!

The Parish Council and ReLeaf volunteers are working together to plant more trees around the village with the support of Buckinghamshire Council, which has obtained funding through a Local Authority Treescapes grant.

There are many benefits to planting trees, including helping to prevent flooding, improving air and water quality, and enhancing biodiversity.

Tree planting is taking place this week along the boundaries of Woodways Recreation Ground and Sheerstock footpath.

This project forms part of Bucks Tree Mission, Buckinghamshire Council's plan to create a greener future by planting half a million trees over the next 10 years. More information can be found on Buckinghamshire Council's website.
