Allotments are a great way to grown your own organic produce with like-minded people as it is a way to keep fit! Haddenham Parish has a large allotment site with over 200 plots where tenants grow a wide variety of vegetables and fruit.

The allotment holders in Haddenham are very proactive and as well as cultivating their plots, they organise quizzes, exchange seeds and plants, exchange expertise and are generous with their knowledge for new tenants. They work together to improve the allotment facilities and project manage initiatives which benefit everyone.

This was demonstrated in the digging of a water borehole and using solar energy to power the water pump. A fantastic innovation which has vastly saved money on water bills and was invaluable source of water during the hot summer of 2018!

The Council operates a waiting list if there are no current vacancies and priority goes to Haddenham residents.

Please email the Assistant Clerk if you would like to find out more.
