Published: 15 December 2022

Knowing how to properly administer CPR and operate a defibrillator can help save someone's life in an emergency.

The Parish Council is looking into providing training within the village in the new year if sufficient interest is received. If you would be interested in training, please contact the Clerk at clerk@haddenham-bucks-pc.gov.uk.

What is CPR?
CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and is a lifesaving technique that's useful in emergencies when someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped. It involves applying chest compressions (with rescue breaths if appropriately trained) to help keep someone alive until emergency help arrives.

What is a Defibrillator?
Defibrillators or AEDs (automated external defibrillators) are medical devices that can give a person's heart an electric shock to help re-establish an effective rhythm.
