Haddenham Parish Council, a proactive and community-focused parish Council in Buckinghamshire, is seeking two dedicated professionals to join our team. We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled individuals to fill the following roles:
Finance and General Administration Officer
Salary: £16.65-£17.29 per hour
Hours: Full/Part-time 30-37h/week
We are looking for a meticulous and organised individual to manage the council’s financial operations and general administration. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing financial transactions, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Administering payroll and processing invoices
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements
- Supporting general administrative duties within the Parish Council office
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in financial administration, bookkeeping, or accounting
- Strong IT skills, particularly in financial software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A professional and approachable manner

Grounds Maintenance Operative
Are you passionate about maintaining and enhancing outdoor
spaces? Haddenham Parish Council is excited to offer a new opportunity to join
our dedicated team as a Grounds and Property Maintenance Operative. This role
comes as we bring our maintenance services in-house, ensuring our community
spaces are cared for with local pride and attention to detail.
Salary: £25,584 - £27,711
Hours: 37h/week
About the Role:
As a Grounds and Property Maintenance Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining the attractiveness and functionality of Haddenham's recreation areas, buildings and public spaces. You’ll be responsible for:
· General grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, litter picking and leaf clearing.
· Basic street furniture and buildings maintenance.
· Caring for newly planted trees and plants.
· Maintaining pathways, playgrounds, and public facilities.
· Assisting with community events and projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For:
· Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role is preferred but not essential, we value a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
