Electric Vehicle Adoption

Electric Vehicle Adoption Working Group

The Electric Vehicle Adoption Working Group aims to reduce the use of petrol and diesel vehicles within the village and promote the use of electric vehicles as an alternative.

We are delighted to report that Haddenham's very own Electric Vehicle Hire Club was launched in December 2022. For further information, please see below.

We are also pleased to say that a public electric vehicle charging point has been installed at the Village Hall car park, with more planned at the Airfield car park.

This page also contains information on financial support for those considering purchasing an electric vehicle.

Electric Vehicle Hire Club

What is the Haddenham Electric Vehicle Hire Club?

The electric vehicle hire club allows users to conveniently access an electric vehicle on a flexible basis.

Hire is available from as little as an hour up to seven days.

There are no membership fees, simply pay as you go.

The car will be based in a designated parking spot outside Haddenham Village Hall.

What are the benefits?

Only pay for a car when you need it!

Save on the cost of purchasing, insuring, taxing and servicing a vehicle.

Reduce your carbon footprint by driving a clean, modern electric vehicle with no tailpipe emissions.

How to join the car club

Visit local firm 3B’s website to sign-up.

The club is free to join and users can unlock, start and drive the car using an app on their smartphone

EV chargepoint grant

The EV chargepoint grant provides funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle smart chargepoints at qualifying domestic properties across the UK. It replaced the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) on 1 April 2022.
