Informal Parking Consultation

Published: 17 December 2019

The deadline to respond to the informal parking consultation expired on Monday 16th December 2019. The Parish Council has received over 300 responses with the views and suggestions of affected residents. After these have been reviewed in the new year, we will report back on which streets have voted in favour of parking restrictions. The results will then be passed to Bucks County Council, as the highway authority, who will finalise the scheme and start the process of implementing a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO). This will include a formal consultation, open to everyone to have their say.

Many responses to the consultation included the suggestion to reduce the cost of parking at the station in order to encourage more commuters to park there rather than on nearby residential roads. As the station car park is privately owned by Chiltern Railways, the Parish Council is unable to dictate the cost of parking but Chiltern Railways has been contacted about the issue.
