Support for dementia and memory loss is still available

Published: 04 June 2020

Support for dementia and memory loss is still available.

The Memory Support Service team at Alzheimer’s Society are still providing help to people affected by dementia as well as those concerned about their memory. Although they are unable to take referrals for Memory Screening Assessments or visit people in their homes, they can still provide support over the phone, by Skype and email.

The team of Memory Support Workers are working hard to deliver guidance and information to people who need support relating to dementia and memory loss. They are also able to give advice regarding coronavirus and tips if dementia makes it difficult to follow NHS or government advice and can also signpost to other reliable sources for shopping, picking up prescriptions, etc.

To contact the memory support team, email: bucks.memorysupport@nhs.net or leave a message on 01296 331749 and a team member will get back to you as soon as possible.

The Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Connect support line is also open 7 days a week for information, support and advice: 0333 150 3456.
