The Parish Council is responsible for the following services within the village:

  • Allotments Site
  • Banks Park Trust Trustee (leases for the Community Library, Scout & Guide Centre, Dentist, FitLife Gym)
  • Community Orchard
  • Devolved functions from Bucks Council:
    • Footpath clearance
    • Verge cutting (within 30mph zones)
  • Grants
  • Parochial Charities
  • Planning consultations (not decisions)
  • Ponds
  • Recreation Areas:
    • Aspen Park
    • Banks Park
    • Sheerstock
    • Woodways
  • Snakemoor Nature Reserve
  • St Mary’s Churchyard (closed)
  • Street Lights (with some exceptions)
  • Tibbs Road Pavilion
  • Trees on Council owned land
  • War Memorial
  • Woodways Pavilion

Buckinghamshire Council Responsibilities

Buckinghamshire Council is the upper tier local authority for Buckinghamshire. It replaced Buckinghamshire County Council and the four Buckinghamshire District Councils (Aylesbury Vale, Wycombe, Chiltern and South Bucks) in April 2020. It is responsible for providing many of the services across Buckinghamshire, including those listed below.
