Biography
I joined Haddenham Parish Council at the start of 2026, having graduated the previous year with a degree in Politics from the University of Leeds. While this is my first role within local government, I have previously worked as a psychiatric healthcare assistant during a gap year, a writer for an independent music magazine, and roles across the bar and retail sectors.
During my time at university, I completed an additional exchange year at Waseda University in Tokyo. There, I developed my Japanese language skills and took part in intercultural discussions on a range of political issues. Inspired by comparative perspectives on governance, I went on to write my undergraduate dissertation on Indian politics, examining evidence of potential breaches of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights under the current BJP administration.
Outside of work, I have achieved Grade 8 in both singing and trumpet, and have toured internationally with orchestras and choirs. I am an avid attendee of live music events and enjoy attending concerts and festivals whenever possible. I also enjoy running and going to the gym, having competed in cross-country events while growing up, as well as reading, cooking and travelling. I have been fortunate to spend time backpacking in several countries.
I am keen to develop a broad range of skills during my time at Haddenham Parish Council and to contribute positively to the changes taking place in the village, ensuring that residents’ views are heard and reflected in the work of the Council.
