Welcome to our new Councillor

The Parish Council has now filled one of its vacancies and would like to welcome Diane Sharp (no relation to Steve!) as a member. Diane lives on Sheerstock where she moved in early 2016, she has a background in finance and has been involved in the work of several charities. We look forward to getting to know Diane and working with her.

Councillor Vacancies

Sadly, as one new member has been elected another has resigned. This time we have to say goodbye to Tom Newton who has served on the Parish Council since the May election in 2015. Tom sat on the Planning and Communications Committees and we will miss his understanding of all things technological. We wish him well for the future.

Notice of the vacancy was served on 13th November 2017. If 10 electors of the Parish give notice to the returning officer within 14 days of that date requesting an election then a by-election will be held. If no election is requested the vacancy will be filled by co-option which will take place at the Parish Council meeting on Monday 8th January 2018.

The Parish Council also has a Casual Vacancy to fill following the resignation of Mr. Weetman which will be filled by co-option at the parish Council meeting on 4th December 2017.
